Accent Colors
An accent color is essentially a shade used in comparatively small quantities in a space, to add impact and interest. Depending on the outcome you wish to arrive at, these colors can be complementary or contrasting the the main tone of the room, but either way they are there to add emphasis to the overall colour, not detract from it.
